Default Sulfur smell

So within the last few days, whenever I hit it hard enough to spool up the supercharger (A&A), there is a distinct smell from somewhere. Definitely not a belt or rubber smell. Smells like sulfur from a match. Please tell me a clutch smells like something other than sulfur!

If it's too rich and you have cats it smells like that.

What is your RWHP? Type of clutch and mileage?

Unlikely, but; Voltage while running? I had a vehicle that the voltage reg went out, over charging the batt making it vent out. Smelled like H2S...

Is COTS enabled in the tune?

If so, it could be the ECM adding fuel at WOT to cool your cats when you were running it hard.

Don't know what COTS is so not sure. I've hit it hard a couple of times since with no return of smell. Someone said I was just running the hell out of it! Har,har!

When you go WOT you exhaust gas temperature goes up and that will increase the temperature of your catalytic converters. In your tune file, if COT is enabled, the ECM will add fuel when the catalytic converter reaches temperature thresholds. This additional fuel will help cool the catalytic converters, prevents damaging them and makes sure they are working efficiently. Some tuners will disable it so it does not interfere with the Air/fuel ratio.

sulfur smell is definitely coming from your converters. typically you don't smell them on your own car but everyone behind you gets some good ol rotten egg smell.

It started after a run with 3 gears to redline. I've read comments about cats and superchargers but thought hi flow cats would be ok. I guess not!

did you maybe have some wheat beer the night before... that tends to cause an intermittent sulfur smell in my car.
