Pulleying down....3.6 or 3.4....?

man thats solid. what timing? SAE or STD dyno? i did 670rwhp SAE with 16* timing and 10.5-10.9 A/F with all mods i mentioned minus 3.4 pulley when i was on the 3.6 pulley. If you are hitting that without a cam I'm very impressed. These ls3 motors are more impressive to me by the day. Coming from a c6 z06 im glad i made the change. the valve thing just never set easy with me. Good luck on the car and post it up for us when its done!

I went back and checked and it was STD (not sure why I didn't bother to get the file so I could convert it). Before meth and 3.6 I did 600RW SAE / 612 STD on the same dyno, so I'd call it about 660RW SAE right now. Don't remember peak timing off hand (I want to say I've seen 18* on my DashLogic, but it could have been more), but I'll check with my tuner when I pick it up, he's one of the best FI guys around and has it dialed in pretty much perfect at this point and it's running meth dependent.

He's BLOWNBLUEZ06@RKTPerformance on here. He's really, really good, but he does it as a part time hobby and has a lot of customers, so the hardest part is him having time to get to it. If you can schedule out several months in advance, it shouldn't be an issue. He is absolutely meticulous and has to be one of the best FI tuners around for C5/C6. He spends a lot of time on the tune and focuses on the drivability and street tune (although he will do a dyno tune as well if you want it). I would (and do) recommend him to anyone that wants the absolute best for their car.

Im in a similar situation, I just bought a 07 LS2 engine for my 02 WS6. It runs and has 40psi of oil pressure at a warm idle but has a knocking noise. I was told the number 5 rod bearing is gone so Im going to have the crank ground, if needed, and polished and a fresh rebuild.
I am going to be running a D1SC procharger and Im torn between just reusing the stock pistons, rings and rods and or should I just have forged pistons and rods installed while its torn apart? So many of you boosted LS2 and LS3 guys making big power on the stock bottom end. I hate to spend another $2000 if I dont have to.
I will be running 93 octane and Meth.
Whats the smartest way to go about this?

You have gen 4 internals, don't worry about breaking them until 800+

Some forged pistons wouldn't hurt but if you can run a lot of meth or preferably E85 the stock stuff is usually fine up to 800 ft lbs or so. Just have to avoid knock

I had a stock long block with a na cam kit with a v3t blower on a 3.6 (14psi) stock size balancer and on pump gas 93 I made 704 on a Mustang dyno in negative da and in the heat it put down 685 on the same dyno.
