Default Pulleying down....3.6 or 3.4....?

I have a stock bottom end ls2,running a v2 ti trim blower with a 4" pulley + meth (585/518). Looking to pulley down and make some more hp.....was thinking a 3.6"....but have been told to just go to a 3.4" and not have to tach it out to get the power (more low/mid range power)....thoughts?

Will the stock block handle it? Estimated hp/tq?

I don't know where or what your peak blower speed is but typically you would want that to be where your cam is spec'd to peak, but I'd ask your tuner

if you're concerned about making too much power can always just pull a little timing or richen it up a bit at peak torque to keep stock bottom end happy? lot of guys making far more than 550whp on stock bottom end cars for many many miles though.

I know there are MANY ls2's in high 600-low 700's and tune is crucial.

I have a 3.25 on mine lol. Plus just got a 10% over drive crank pulley. That little S-Trim is having a time of its life ls2 with ls3 heads.

Is this the same as ECS's "1500"?

If so I'm on 3.25 too

Gen4 rods/pistions will take more than you think, especially since you're running meth. You'll run out of fuel on a BAP before you need to worry about the sbe so long as the tune is right. I have a YSI and we might pulley down to a 3.4 rather than the 3.6 we have on right now.

Interested in this as well, also running a T-trim on a 4" with meth. Was going to head down to RPM for a pulley swap earlier this fall, just couldn't find the time. It seems like 700 whp is the norm for a lot of the LS2s out of ECS.

I was running a 3.4 on my car with no issues, although mine is an ls3 not an ls2 but you'd be fine.

Once my fuel lines come in I'll be driving up to RPM to have Fran retune my heap as well.

About what kind of power level should I expect with a 3.4"pulley,lt headers and z06 exhaust? (Z51 gearing 3:42 6 speed)

Mine made 701rwhp with a 4" pulley T-Trim with just 93 octane. Also is cammed and has a Fast102 intake though. I plan on converting to E-85 at some point and I'll pulley down to a 3.4. I think i'll be at the ragged edge of what the block and internals can handle at that point though. Really not chasing any numbers though, I'd just like to gain some power in the middle of the power band.

I made 693 with the t trim, 3.4, cam from RPM, meth, long tubes, stock intake, tb, axle back, and balancer.

Just finishing 8 rib, direct drive, 10% od, 3.33, second meth nozzle, and ecs fuel system. Hopefully retuned in a week or so.

Those are really high #'s for a 4" pulley.....how much timing you running?

Must be a friendly dyno. I make 651rw on a 3.6 with a cammed LS3.

A&A v3 si 3.4 pulley (6 rib still no slipping), Alky meth, cam, Kooks headers, xpipe, B&B fusion catback, ECS stage 1 fuel system. Stock motor with cam and stock driveline. 710/645 SAE. 10.9 max A/F

I will have identical setup. How much boost does it make? Stock balancer?

Nice. Mine's in right now getting a 3.4 pulley on the V3 Si (will also be sticking with 6 rib). Made 672RW on the 3.6 with dual nozzle meth and LS7 manifolds and no other mods (stock LS3), hoping for 700+ on the 3.4".
