Flex Fuel Conversion

Flex Fuel Conversion
I've been enjoying my car since the kit has been installed but looking to squeeze a little more power out of it. Wondering what all you have done to run some of that wonderful corn juice. Was able to find this online http://www.dedicatedmotorsports.com/product_p/c6ffk.htm but have been told I can do it for less. Wondering what route you guys took. All advice is appreciated. Couple pics of my car to throw some pics in.

IMO buy the dedicated kit and move on.

No I did not. E54 works fine.
Depending on your power/goals yes fuel system needs upgraded.

The goal is to get to 650-600 and call it good. I think that will help keep it reliable and still fun at the same time. Car is currently on 60# injectors with a bap so if I can get that with the current set up I'd be happy but not sure if I'm hoping for too much

Yea I kick myself in the *** for not just doing 80lbers from the beginning. Was thinking of just doing the ECS stage 1 fuel system as that saves me the trouble of not dropping the tank and installing in there, I've heard its a nightmare on these cars lol

You can probably save a few bucks piecing together the sensor, fittings and wiring yourself.. but not sure I'd bother IF you're running stock fuel rail/feed line. Their setup is just too easy to install and too nice to not use it. And Dave literally is the reason we can run flex fuel so can't hurt to buy from them.

Injectors are the biggest cost. The pumps is a little over a hundred bucks, and building your own AN lines, all the fittings, and a flex fuel sensor is around 300. and a tune of course.

I have the dedicated kit, some ID1300s, and a Fore Innovations fuel system.

Tuning is nothing more than turning it on. Super simple.

Start doesn't have to be touched if tune is already good. Turn it on, fill in timing map for flex fuel part, done.

The customer support is the reason I spent 100 bux for a wire I already had to get the pin I already knew it was. He's been a great help on several fueling ideas/issues I've had.

Silly question.
Sense these cars have 2 tanks. How does the flue mix with out a return style set up?
If you have 1/4 1/2 or 3/4 a tank of 93 and top it off with flex, will it all mix even?

Some fuel from pump in DS is used to pump fuel back to drivers side from Pass side via Venturi effect. Drivers side overflows back to pass side. So it ends up mixing. I've never really seen ethanol % change more than 1-2% after filling up, seems to stay stable
Also when you fill up it fills Ds first then spills over to pass side, so should have an opportunity to mix some then too

Its constantly pumping any fuel from passengers side tank to drivers side. So if your less than 1/2 all fuel is in drivers side. If you are >1/2 it is mixing. Either way it is pumping fuel out of drivers tank, sensor is measuring going in, and adjusting real time, so it doesn't matter if one tank is e70 and one e80 since it only pumps out of drivers and measures what is getting pumped into the engine.

i myself have been trying to justify building my own sensor and harness but it seems this may end up being a "you get what you pay for" situation in the long run. between the support from them and the other members that use this sensor, you would have virtually 24/7 support. but cost is everything these days.
just plan to save for it, thats what ill be doing.
