Default can't catch a break.....overheated question

was out driving last night when i looked down at my coolant guage and saw that it was shooting up 240...250....at that moment i shut the car off. before shutting the car off there didn't appear to be any leaks from anywhere or fluids dripping from under the car. the belts were intact and rotating fine. only thing i could notice would be from the the passenger side of the engine just below where the ECS bracket that holds the supercharger head unit in place. there appeared to be a hose running out what i think is the inlet asm-w/pmp(not really sure tho)it looked damp with coolant. i was able to return to the car several hours later and drove it home since i was only a couple of block out. thoughts on this? thermostat? hopefully not water pump again cause i bought an upgraded one from ECS which you would think was spun from gold for what that damn thing cost.

Bet the radiator fan was not working. If that is the case, likely the connector to the fan relay on the right side of radiator. If so, common, search this forum for many posts.

My connector was fried on the ground wire. This is extremely common especially if you have tuned the fans to run more aggressive(draw more amps) than stock.

Also, my T-stat took a crap on me at a later point. You can diagnose this by grabbing the inlet hose from the t-stat off of the water pump going into the radiator. If it's hot then it is working, if not then your t-stat either hasn't opened or isn't functioning properly(temperature dependent).

I soldered my wires together (deleting the connector) and haven't had an issue yet. LOL
