Default LS9 head questions

ok so I'm pretty sure I'm lifting a head. I was trying to hold off studding it until I could do heads at the sane time. Currently I'm running the a&a v3ti kit with a 3.6 upper and 10%od lower on a crammed LS3. My question is what ate the benefits/negatives of the gm ported LS9 heads over the LS3s? thanks in advance.

LS9 heads are Rotocast and have a thicker deck. For a boosted application they would be a nice upgrade.

What is causing you to think you're lifting a head though? What power are you making?

I'm sure I'm fixing to embarrass myself a few times in this thread but...

The reason I think that I'm lifting the heads is because after a night of hard runs, it pushes almost all of the coolant out of the surge tank. Sitting right around 800hp.

Also, with the thicker deck does that mean I need longer pushrods? What about the CC size, does it change the CR?

If your lifting heads at that power level I would first take a good look at the tune....what does your timing table look like?
