He doesn't run a shop. He does it on the side. I run a Pat G cam and it is perfect. Zero issues, great power, drives great. He nailed it.

I never dealt with him but know at least 6 people running a Pat G grind, some mild, some 1000+ hp and all very happy so you can't go wrong. Just tell him what setup you have and what you want, power coming in down low, all in under 6200, lopey idle, etc and he'll have comp cams or some other premium manufacturer grind one up fr you.

I've personally had great experiences with Geoff Skinner at EPS spec'ing cams for me. He's super easy to work with and his lobes are supposed to be gentle on the equipment... but make it easy on everyone and know your engine specs and exactly what characteristics you're looking for before hand, because he'll ask you a lot of questions!

Pat works with Geoff, and refers there for the cam purchase. Wouldn't be surprised if Pat specs them for him.

Geoff makes the cams, Pat G specs what to make

I ordered from cam motion with pat g's specs on a Thursday and had the cam in my hands the following Wednesday. Hard to beat a custom cam, in my hands, in a matter of days.

Can't really see any reason to buy one off the shelf when service like that is available for almost nothing extra.

Agree..... amazes me that so many prefer to pick a cam based on the sound in a video...

I went through this not long ago and looked at cam specs, read the science/data behind them and went down a crazy rabbit hole.....and in the end i just told Bryan at LME what I wanted and he custom spec'd me a cam that is perfect for what I was shooting for. I'd go custom for sure.

Just got off the phone with Pat G, Told him my set up, what I wanted etc. He said it didn't exist & proceeded to throw out specs off the top of his head for a custom one off grind. Explaining what each # ment & did. Very knowledgeable guy!! Sounds like I'm going to have my cake n eat it too. Best $25 I've ever spent!!
