Default fan doesn't turn on

so i recently had a problem that my radiator fan doesn't kick on...well not completely. initially when i start the car after it warms up the fan will work or seem to for about 15 minutes then appears to crap out or just not turn on. I think its the fan control module...problem is i have switched it out twice now, but didn't get the OEM Siemens VDO module...knstead both amazon and GMPartsDirect sent me an ACdelco module....anyone have a problem like this? My mechanic can turn the fans on with the diagnostic tools, so i don't think the fan itself has **** the bed. I'm waiting for the siemens part to come in now. thoughts? 08 Z06 ECS sc1500 kit 23K

I have changed mine once. I think it's because it's so low and not really protected to well. If I loose another one I plan on doing a relocation and see if it helps.

I would check the big three wire connector close to the fan module. They always overheat and burn the connectors. It is common once the car has been tuned to make the fans run more often.

Swap the connector and the module, just had to do this. The connector melted first then the controller went out.
