Default Plumbing Holley Fuel Rails

I'm in the process of setting up my fuel system for a future SC install on my base ls3 c6 because I'm running out of pump on e85 na and I've reached snag in my original plan for plumbing because there's alot less clearance behind the driver's rail than I realized.

My plan is to go ahead an setup a return system now so that I don't have to do it again, and I wanted to use the holley rails since I had them sitting on a shelf. I'm doing a -8 feed and a -6 return since I'm using the factory feed as a return.

I used my magnificent drawing skills to draw a couple of potential setups.

My question is if you guys thought I'd run into issues with setup number one where the return was tee'd off of the front crossover. I was kinda concerned that cylinder 7 may end up with lower fuel pressure than the rest that way. I think this is the way I'd prefer to plumb it unless I am told it's a bad idea.

Has anyone tried this fitting on the rear drivers side if I go with option #2? http://www.improvedracing.com/an-ada...ing-p-150.html

Also...I've got id1000's in my stock ls3 rails now and I'm using a spacer under the rail. The holley rails should bolt on using the same spacer setup as if I'm installing it with factory height injectors unless I'm thinking incorrectly...right?

Thanks for looking!

The regulator setup in the first pic is fine. I would feed both rails at the back though.
The Holley rails come with brackets for either injectors and I believe you shouldn't need spacers.

The fitting you need is like this pic. The rails use orb fittings.

Fore and aeromotive both make a special low profile 90 that works for the back of the rail.

https://www.aeromotiveinc.com/produc...banjo-fitting/

Used both of those with plenty of clearance.

Thanks guys. I ordered this one...we'll see how it goes. I'll get the banjo if this doesn't work out. I'm trying to make sure my hose and ends match so that I don't run into any problems even though I'm sure it would be fine.

I'd use drawing 2 if at all possible.

If the Earl's fitting works that's what will happen for sure.

I would use drawing 1, but feeding both rails at rear.

I would find some new special way that no one else has done that is sure to work better than anything thought of. Maybe split it into 8 feeds with a drilled/tapped port next to each injector hole.

I do have a spare spider injector setup from my truck I could probably make work.

Feed both ends of both rails. Then do dual returns, each to its own regulator out of the middle of the rails. Return them to an added tank mounted in the fender. Then run a belt driven fuel pump to get the gas from that tank, back to the main tank.

The corvette forum way of solving a non-existent problem.

Me too. While #1 is argueable better, I think the difference for almost anyone here is not even noticeable.

I did worse than either of those and did the regulator before the rails. Not ideal I know but I haven't had any issues

Either of those should work just fine I'd think

Thanks for the replies. I bought the fitting to try #2 and if it doesn't fit we are going with #1. About 90% done making my 450 fit in the bucket. What a pain for a car with a base pump...also not helping myself trying to fit the hydramat.

FML Last piece of modification to the bucket was pressing the hydramat on and the ring cracked. Summit is awesome and replacing but there goes another week without the car.

The crack is big enough to where the sock would be bypassed and maybe even open more and take out the pump with a piece of plastic.
