ATI harmonic balancer question
I have to change my balancer again. The one I just removed lasted 13000 miles, I'll get an ATI this time. Should I get a 10% overdrive one this time? What are the benefits? ECS 1500, big blower cam, zo6 exhaust, ordering alky meth Monday so I'll have to tune anyway. Thanks!

Iw from ecs and be done. I like the iw a lot more for blower applications.

OD if you don't mind more boost, or putting a different pulley on it, or restrictor.

Thanks Unreal, next time your in Burbank you should stop by and see the car your helping build! I'll get the innovators west 10% overdrive, 6 rib. Right now the belt I use is an 891 it's a perfect fit if I loosen the altanator, gotten really good at belt swaps 10 minutes tops. With a 10% overdrive balancer what belt size should I get. Thanks again for your help. If anyone knows the answer to this please chime in Im sure Doug or Andy knows too

CI makes good points. I would do 8 rib 10% OD. Can typically find them on here cheap too if you look.

It looks like they don't make a 6 rib 10% overdrive balancer so 8 rib it is. It's model 843 I'll look into their pinning kit.
I'm going to buy a new one, usually I'll try to save a buck buying used but not this time, dont want to risk buying a bad one. I never want to change another balancer again. When I find the belt size I'll post it here. Thanks again

I just ordered a balancer and this was the info I was given to get an OD 8 rib
P/N 917345 is the LS Y-body 8 rib damper.
P/N 917107 is the 9% OD option or P/N 917108 which is the 12% OD option.
You will have to order damper P/N 917345 and then specify which OD option you want as a special instruction.

Contrast that with IW, where the guy I spoke to was very helpful and even personally went to check the shelf to verify that he had one in stock, and then shipped it out the same day. Then when I fukked up my timing cover seal by installing it backwards, I rang them up and they sent me a new seal again before the end of the day. For customer service, they can't be beat and their parts are top notch.

my brother put a flip drive on my c6z Whipple works great worth looking into
as well as an 8 or 10 rib set up (blower apps)
