Default Supercharger New Radiator installation

Hi, I have a 2005 with a ECS Supercharger kit. During my last track day temperature raised more than usual. I was looking at the Dewitt wider radiator with double fans unit, my question is, is this a direct fit to my car? Any physical modifications required? Has anyone here done it? Please let me know, as I don't like special adaptations.

Thanks a lot!!!!

Some of the aftermarket fan assemblies need to be trimmed where the supercharger outlet is, it's not that hard to do though. Otherwise it's a simple swap.

Try stock fans first or go straight to the Nuova or d3 fans.

if I was doing it again I would have just tried the d3 fan setup on stock radiator and see how that went first. but my dewitts installs super easy.

Yeah, I'd probably try a stronger fan setup on the stock radiator first personally.

In most cases I would agree, but if he is overheating on track I would do radiator before fans.

Overheating at idle/low speeds=fans
Overheating going 40+mph=radiator

Or, clean the system first without spending any money. Its amazing how many times it is just dirty.

Thanks all for the responses, system flush was done, a lot of dirt and no change on temperature.

neverstop, did you installed the Dewitt with a SC on the vette? was it easy, no modifications?

More than flushing the system, you need to make sure that in between the radiator and condenser is not stuffed with debris. Sand also fills the radiator core too, it's very common.

Yeah, flushing isn't the issue. The issue is tiny bits of road debris get inbetween the fins of the radiator. It's like sand almost. It's amazing the amount of junk that get stuck in there, most of it isn't even that visible unless you are looking at the radiator straight on.

Plastic bags, leaves, sticks, etc. All get stuck in front of the radiator. Get that fixed as step 1, then move on to spending money.

Also look at LG's Supercool radiator as an alternative to Dewitt. I'm on stock fans with SC and it dropped my temps 10-15 at speed
