Friend of mine ran it and wasn't impressed especially when my lil ole D1 car had a better powerband and worked him on the street.

They need to be spun hard. I don't get people putting them on and then only doing 750-850rwhp. A d1sc or ti/1500 will work much better in that range.

Now if he was maxing it out, and still though his d1 had a better band, that would be surprising.

I would not pay that. The R is more than proven and I've yet to see any good results from the x/b.

It was maxed out. He went from the 1500 to the 2200X. My D1 performed better. I have his graph somewhere. I'll see if I can find it. Got the videos too.

Strange. Either way, I wouldn't run the X when the R is just too proven to work time and time again.

That sounds a little strange, I did see improvements going to the billet wheel. Not huge though, so I usually tell people if you're ordering new then go for it, but I would not pay the difference to have a good working cast impeller changed.

thanks for the reply. I'm buying a new kit so just gonna go with the 2200X from the get go. This build has a really strong meaning for me and representing my fight with Cancer. And just like my efforts to beat it I'm not holding back on this. You only live once and if I'm going out, I'm going out ***** to the wall!!!!! Thanks again for the advice everyone. You guys are really helping me out on this. Appreciate it.

We are all rooting for you man!
You certainly got the right approach, to both fighting cancer and modding your car. I wish you the very best with both.

I was thinking LSX-LS7 6-bolts but thought they still have the same valve guides as whats been giving the regular LS7 heads failure. Don't wanna spend that much for a headache still not fixed. Or am I wrong about LSX heads?

wish I could give more update's and get the build a bit faster but being in and out the hospital not only sucks but it slows the process for me a bit. Chemo has been kicking my *** literally. but nothing beats seeing the process moving along... Next step is the Supercharger kit which will be ordered soon (just last minute research and pricing etc holding that up). The pistons still need to be ordered tomorrow and then off to the machine shop/builder. Already have the Crank (Callies Dragon Slayer crank / Callies Ultra I-Beam rods).

You're definitely a soldier for life!
I've seen what that damn chemo can do to someone, having been through that with my father a couple of years back. Hang in there man. We're all rooting for you.
Keep those pictures on that awesome build coming. Hope that you get it together soon so you can post up some vids.

Keep focusing on goals that energize you and F%CK cancer! I have no doubt you have a robust support system, but if ever you need a new ear, let me know. I'm a few cell phone digits away.

BTW, LSx and 2200X = holy frigging AWESOME! Loving the progress. Keep it coming at your pace.

John

Been a long hard road doing this while still in treatment. Can't really focus on the build as much as I thought I could. But glad to see progress with the build. Ups/down twists/turns. Now just finishing touches and install into the car.

Custom spec Pat G cam engraved with CHEMO on it. Gives new meaning to the words Cancer stick lmao I literally ordered this while getting a Chemotherapy treatment.. lol yea I have jacked up priorities lol
