Default What injectors for turbo set up

Hey All,

I am in the process of doing a twin turbo on my Z06. I am using twin Garrett Gen2 GTX2867R turbos. I am targeting around 600 HP and I think I will need 60 lbs injectors. What brand would you guys recommend? I have heard that the ID1050x are the way to go, but that seems like to much injector for my power goals. I would like to hear what other members thoughts are. Thanks in advance.

ID1050x or ID1300's would be fine. I wouldn't bother going smaller.

The old school thought of not getting any more injector than you need doesn't really apply anymore. As long as you have the correct injector characterization data (which is a whole lot more than just flow rate) then larger injectors can be just fine. ID supplies this info, so should be fine.

I was running ID1000's even on the original 93 only ~6 psi setup, now I'm up to E85 and 12-13psi and still using the same injectors. They ran better than the old 60# deka's that were in it in the very beginning.

I've tuned ID1700's on a stock engine (w/turbos) before. Idled fine.

Thanks for the info guys. I am leaning toward the ID1050x but, I was also looking at the DeatschWerks 65lb Injectors Does anyone have experience with these injectors?

The DeatschWerks injectors are complete junk and knockoffs. You are better off with Siemen dekas if on a budget. If you want to spend alittle more ID and FID are really good.

60lbs will supports 600rwhp on pump just fine. You don't have to go bigger.

I'm using FIC 1000s and made 870 on e85. Ducty cycle was about 65% I think if I remember. They were $490 shipped I think when I bought them last year. I did the submit an offer thing on eBay and they accepted.

What all did you have to convert in order to run E85? Fuel lines? bigger pump? What engine management did you use?

Throw a flex fuel sensor in and wire to the ECM, factory ECM can make changes based on E content.

Need 25-30% more fuel, so whatever that means for you.

Not to say an aftermarket ECM can't do some pretty cool things, because they most certainly can.. but for a basic flex fuel setup you can just use the factory ECM.

I really hope you Opted for the T3 Housings as that is normally a T2 footprint turbo.
