Yah, wines pretty good. I think the short intake did that. The plastic dongles or filters down low whine less.

Compression/tuning/etc all effect throttle response.

Maybe I'll kill a set of tires this weekend. Going Jeeping all day Saturday. Got my new tires for the 15s, just can't decide what to do with the old ones. Maybe murdering them in a parking lot is a good idea.

Speaking of tires for 15s....have you had trouble getting them balanced at Discount tire and similar places?

I'm on my 3rd balance with the weights in the middle only since tape weights get knocked off on the edge of the rims on either side.

Is this an issue with B&B systems?

Yep. Valves like to stick. Heard it from several people now.

No issues with balancing 15s. Have to put the weights towards outside. If you keep knocking the weights off sounds like your control arm needs to be clearanced more. That is what hits. I did knock some off when they tried to stack them 2 high, but just have to tell them to do it 1 high and towards outside.

Yeah, let's hear that beast wide open, instead of just Driving Miss Daisy around the block.

1/2 mile is March 10th. Should have plenty then.

No real place around here to open it up on street, which is one of the reasons I continually say 800+ in a vette is pointless. Just spins and makes noises.

I reached out to B&B to alert them to this issue and ask if there is any fix. Never heard back. It's a bummer because I really enjoy the bi-mode function (well, more to the point, my neighbors enjoy the bi-mode function... )

Stock bi mode never gives me any issues.

Yep, 20k+ miles on stock, no issues. Within 1k on B&B issues.

My stock mufflers started bulging something crazy - they just couldn't handle what my engine was creating. Had to explore other options. High class problems so I'm not complaining. Thanks for the replies and sorry to hi-jack the thread.

Blew a coolant hose last night. Good thing for vented hood as early warning sign. Smelled coolant than it started spraying down windhshield. Cheap bando autozone upper hose split in 1/2. Ohh well. Got an AC delco OEM replacement on the way.

Up here in NY, both my Vettes go to sleep this time of the year. So I spend all winter improving **** and then all spring and summer fixing **** that breaks, so I hear you. My wife thinks it is the other way around. "My uh, oil tank is leaking honey, so I need another one right away but no later than April 17th (track opens) ..the new one also has the added benefit of holding 3 more quarts so I won't need to buy oil as often".

So I finished installing the Lingenfelter expanded dry sump tank and AVIAID baffle insert, first time I started her in 2 f'in months. What a joke. Anyhow, 10qts fresh 5w30, 20 mins of idle to bring up oil temp, verify pressure, check for leaks, verify oil level, add another quart. Cool down for 20 mins. Then another 20 mins of idle, slow revs, then cool down. All fittings look good. Then another 20 mins of idle, up to full operating temp,, then some real rev's to see if she holds pressure at higher RPMs. All worked out, and now I get to buy 11 quarts of oil every 3 weeks instead of 8. Perfect. Vid of my rev test:
