Has any one seen this turbo log
Can anyone tell me the make of this turbo by emblem? Received some great advice about looking at a car at a dealer and wanted a little info to go in with. Newbie so excuse ignorance.

It's not ringing any bells for turbo setups I am familiar with. Maybe it's a custom one off setup?
I agree with previous posts though, I would run from this, especially given your lack of car knowledge (no offense). Unless you have deep pockets and don't mind paying a shop for every little (and major) thing you need fixed

People don't typically trade in their projects for a loss unless they are sick of them.

Looks like a STS kit if anything.

The turbos were in back by the four stacks coming out. Dealer had no info at all. I am not purchasing this car but I have a friend with shop who wants to dig around in this car. The dealer agreed to let me take it for inspection.
I don't know anything about these but from what I could see it looked like a clean install. Let you know what buddies tells me Friday.

So I took the car to shop for inspection. They said the STS Twin Turbo was done professionally and looked and worked great. Not what I was expecting to hear. After poking around and test driving they said what they found wrong was had oil leak and needed new tires and shocks. Both were stock and the car is 2008 with only 15,000 miles.
The leak is the oil pan and told that was expensive fix. Dealer said will take care of that. Seemed reasonable enough.
Read some other threads here on the STS with a lot of Pro and Con opinions. Like the ones from actual owners and drivers. Not looking to start that pissing match again.
The stickers on the motor covers are just that, stickers and can be pulled off. Must have been an ego thing for the original owner since it looks stock under the hood. Imagine that a mans ego needing stroking.

I'm curious how much the dealer wanted for the car. Those stickers are the dumbest thing I've seen in a while. I can't belive he just let you drive off with it for some poking. Are you thinking of buying it? If you don't know anything about cars, please don't. Do buy a corvette, I highly recommend it, just not that one.
