Default Ti-trim hp by boost

I recently tuned my ls3 stock longblock a6 with a 8" balancer and 3.47 upper on a ti trim amd it made 660whp at around 14 psi at 5900ish rpm tuner said to put a cam and drop boost and it should make 700s on a more reliable margin. Has anyone boosted 15-17 on a stock longblock if so what hp did you make and how reliable was it? I am running 100% e85 and fuel is not an issue, i am at sea level idk if that plays a factor in it

A cam will help, on E you can do pretty much whatever you want to an ls3..

I honestly would be happy just finishing the tune to 6000-6200 rpm but the tuner is a bit scared of what might happen if the boost keeps ramping up to 15-17 psi any thoughts? Do psi really play a big role? Or it should be looked more at the hp the engine is producing?

Boost is just a measure of restriction. One car could make 1100 on 14 psi and another 600 at 14 psi. You need a cam for that pulley combo or cam and heads.

so if i were to up the pulley to 3.6 or 3.8 it would make more power? or about the same as now just at redline?

Putting a larger blower pulley on will likely still make 14 psi but at 6500 rpm instead of 5900. Given that you are on E85 I would keep the pulleys you have and change the cam for the best power.

Cam change will likely make engine more efficient and drop boost...
