Default Hawk LS Series Harmonic Balancer Installation Tool

Hawk LS Series Harmonic Balancer Installation Tool

Here is the Hawk LS Series Harmonic Balancer Installation Tool. It has been on market for over 10 years now and proven itself to be a must when installing a harmonic balancer. Universal installer tool kits do not work well with the GM LS Series motors. No longer do you have to chance stripped or damaged crank threads trying other installation methods.

There are two versions offered, the GM LS1, LS6, LS2 & LS3 or the GM LS7. The GM LS7 version is approximately 3 inches longer due to the deeper crank threads in the GM LS7. So the tool needs to be longer. The GM LS7 version can be used on other LS motors but there may be clearance issues with the added length of the tool during use.

The LS3 (manual transmission, non convertible- Grand Sport Corvette) and the LS9 would also use the LS7 version of this tool.

So, I guess this question will go unanswered? Once again I would like to purchase the tool but prefer not to have to buy both if not necessary.

I bought mine through Colorado speed and it's the LS7 version. I can say it's worked on my LS7, a friends LS1 and anothers' LS3 camaro with great success. love the tool

Yes the LS7 version is just a little longer because of the LS7 but will work with the LS3. The only reason why we have the LS3 is because it costs less and is shorter and will easily work when the engine is in the bay.

We have been using the same two Hawk balancer install tools in our shop for the last 4 years. They are still going strong.
Great tool and made/welded by a man right here in America.
Heavily recommend for anyone doing a cam swap or balancer swap.
