Bad transaction - joegengsta
I bought a set of OEM Z06 mufflers from Joe a couple of weeks back. He said they were still on the car and he was going to remove them that weekend and could ship the beginning of this past week. I went ahead and paid him for the mufflers plus the extra bit for shipping that he requested. Early this past week, I asked for the shipping number by email. He said he had to get the receipt from home but would get it to me. After not hearing from him after a few days, I emailed again, to no avail. Sunday night (5 days after the mufflers supposedly shipped), I get an email saying his friend had just come back from trying to ship them, and they cost too much money so he was going to refund the money and cancel the deal.
At first, I wanted him to make good on the deal, but then became concerned that he would skimp on the packing materials to avoid losing more money and I'd get trashed exhaust. So I asked him a couple of days ago to refund the money, especially since I had found another set to purchase. It has been two days since the request (during which time I have received emails from him, but no money), and my money still has not been refunded. The transaction was done via Paypal, so I can go that route if I have to in order to get my money back. However, I thought it was important for folks to be aware of the lies, the inappropriate way in which the transaction has been handled, and now the slow refunding of my money (that still hasn't occurred yet).
I have been waiting now for a week and a half for the mufflers so I can finish getting my car put back together and driveable again, and now I'm also waiting on $400.
Say it ain't so Joe - make it right man and refund me my money.

I hate when the seller takes a long time to respond to emails and messages. Thats usually the first sign of a deal going bad.
Hope everything works out for you. Luckily I havent run into a bad seller in all of my years of buying off of a forum.

I'd pursue that Paypal route now. You can always cancel the dispute if it gets resolved.
I bought a console from that guy as well and when the console came, many parts were missing. I guess that's what I get for not getting a picture of the actual parts for sale. Didn't answer my PM after either. Hope it all works out for you.

I fully intend to go to Paypal tomorrow if I haven't received my refund from him. I'm not concerned about getting my money back - I know I can. I just want people to know about him.

I'm still waiting on my cargo shade from him. He said it shipped Saturday. I sent him an PM asking for the shipper and a tracking #. I haven't gotten a response. If I don't get the cargo shade or a tracking # by tomorrow I'm contacting paypal as well. I'm glad it is only $65.

if we are asked we will intervene on the members behalf.
that being said I will attempt to contact the member in question via PM and email to see what we can do to expedite the process.

good lord, do any of you guys work? it was going to be shipped a few days late because i had to find freight service as residential service by fedex cannot exceed 70 lbs, and you go and file all this stuff? get a life and stop SPAMMING my mailbox with 30 emails a day. holy cow

of course it came, where else would it be? does everyone just hop on the bandwagon of blaming people because you don't know the complete situation? jeeze, you people sure get jumpy to conclusions without hearing the other side of the story!!!!

and on this note, im never selling anything on here again nor will i be posting here. i've been here since 2005 and have purchased 3 c6 corvettes, i can clearly see the type of people who own these cars have deteriorated quite dramatically. later
