Do you have any screenshots of the iPod interface?
What year is the Navigation disk?

I am considering a change from my Pioneer Avic D3.

Thank you.

Not of the actual unit while in ipod mode. To get a picture of what happens, whatever movie you run on your ipod is what shows on the nav unit. I would even stream pandora to my iPhone and it would run on the unit. Its capable of quite a bit.

Its done the Kenwood iPod cable that is included.

Copy and past this link in your browser:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KCIP...d+iPod+Adapter

What year is the Navigation disk?

Last update I did to this unit was in 2009. Instead of a disk, this unit is updated via a software download and uploaded through a USB. Here is the most recent map:

Copy and paste link in your browser:

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?...=73363&ra=true

I am considering a change from my Pioneer Avic D3.
I guarantee anyone would love this unit.
Thank you.

Thanks, but the best part of my Avic is the iPod interface. By that, I mean the screen that pops up is the same menu that you see on an iPod.

I am not worried about the streaming of the iPod into the Kenwood, but how the interface actually looks.

Worst part of my Avic is the Navigation. It defaults to the worst route possible, and gives you a variety of terrible options...very lame.

Im guessing you want to know how it looks on the screen... If so, you have a number of options outside of the default option.

Once you learn how to use the unit, the user can upload pics into a album and have them play as you listen to music off the ipod. There were times when I would put in a DVD and watch it while listening to music on my iPod. It really depends on how you use the it.

Another thing, the iPod interface info starts at page 74 in the manual. The link is also above in original post.

Sorry if I dont have the exact answer your looking for.

Unit was purchased in 09. If you would like a newer map, the Garmin nav is updated via a USB software upload and not a disk. There are no flaws in unit, its in perfect working condition and has no scratches.

Im leaving Tues for 2 weeks and would like to sell before I go out of town.

Feel free to txt me at 954.558.6660 if any other questions.

954 area code? hmmmm another Floridian in NC, lol.Been there, done that.

I gotta say I had a Kenwood in my Cobra and was not a fan, especially the iPOD interface menus and it wasnt at all user friendly. Im gonna do some homework on this unit first but it is in serious consideration if I find it isnt the P.I.T.A. that my other Kenwood unit was. Stay tuned and thanks for the info.

Sure thing. I wish I had known you to get the warning. Im moving back at the end of the year; its not coming soon enough. Nothing beats Florida.

Didnt get home until late Marcus but the box was here and was packaged perfectly. One question, Is this the GM to Kenwood adapter harness? or will I need something else?
