I first had ATAK on without headers (nice aggressive sound with hardly no drone)...Now I have LG headers and had the ATAK system (YIKES)...there was a drone but when you got on it (it was the BEAST UNLEASHED)...I switched to the TOURING (no drone...very Nice sound at start up and cruise; when I got on it...close in sound to a Ferrari )...Great People to deal with...great sound...very fast shipping...easy to install

I have had the Atak and now I have the touring...both are great exhaust...the Atak and the touring matched right up to my x pipe...I have lg headers...the folks at Maryland Speed are great to work with...

Keep in mind...that you will have a much more aggressive sound with headers...but I can tell you that with my headers as with any aggressive exhaust with headers ...there will be a drone...I don't have that with my touring exhaust though...the quality is great and the time it took to get them was relatively pretty short

I think the Atak has "Atak" stamped on the muffler, but that is is.

choosing correct borla model
Our systems for the C6 are not bi-modal. There's no question that adding valves would have been the easiest way for us to keep the car quiet at low RPMs and exciting under acceleration and at high RPMs but from an exhaust design perspective valves add unnecessary weight, unnecessary liability (moving parts), unnecessary cost and do not sound better than a properly designed exhaust system.
The 3 different sound profiles we created (ATAK, S-Type and Touring) each are exciting at start -up, then become more subdued at low RPMs and at cruise with absolutely no drone, and when you step on the throttle it sounds even better than a valve opening because it's an incremental increase in energy that happens gradually over throttle positioning rather than a large increase in energy from one moment to the next.
Think of a valved system as turning on a light with a switch while our systems give you the control of a dimmer by use of the throttle. With a light switch there are 2 positions, on and off, that's it. With a dimmer you have much more control for a wider variety of driving conditions.
And it's worth mentioning again that these systems do not drone, in any gear, at any RPM, manual or automatic.
Cheers!

re: 2005 stock C6 coupe LS2...The Borla touring axle back model is the "most" mellow exhaust of the various offerings ..correct?

Are the Stinger and S-type II the same? If not, what is the difference? Thanks.
