Many C6 owners have fell in love with LEDs. Corvette Mods was one of the first to bring LED applications to the Corvette community. Our newest LED switchback product consists of 39 LEDs per bulb WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY!
Our revised Gen 2 switchbacks are the first of their kind. Instead of 60 (30 white/30 amber) small 1210 SMDs per bulb, the new switchbacks have 39 2826 SMDs per bulb AND each LED has the ability to illuminate 2 different colors -AMBER & WHITE!
Others offering a similar "Version 2" style bulb still use the smaller led modules instead of the 1210 which require more solder joints. You can see, these are made much better and are the most reliable version out there.
What are the benefits?
First 100% Legal Switchback. When the blinkers are on the lights don't go white to amber! Purely an amber blinker feature!
Brighter - 39 LEDs for each color vs 30 on the old units
Smaller, nicer looking assembly

These advanced LED's allow you to have the amber color emitted during normal day driving, but when you turn on your headlights they switch over to white! Can they be wired in a way that the DRL mode is white instead of amber? It doesn't matter if they are on when the headlights are on, the basic principle is that the amber appears only when using blinker (EU road laws).

Installed mine yesterday, definitely a happy camper with these. They look awesome, thanks much! The second picture it was too hard to get it fully light as they were flashing. I got the best pic I could at the time.

I was asking in reference to having the white be the color when just the DRLs are on. Any permanent modification required for that?

OR you can buy the white only LED bulbs (not the switch backs), but again, your turn signals will flash white.
The DRL's and the turn signals use the same wire, so there is no way of seperating the signal.

Yes, that will require modifying the stock wiring harness. But be warned, your turn signals will flash white, and not amber. Some states, that is illegal.
OR you can buy the white only LED bulbs (not the switch backs), but again, your turn signals will flash white.

They only heat up when the blinkers are on. If you mount them where they get airflow and not attched to plastic it will be more than fine. I have been running them for years in my Vette!
We have 100's of customers running them without issues as well

Cost of the resistors? Any issue with installing everything through the port in front of the tire? Or does the additional 'work' require the fender/bumper be pulled?

Hey neal how much for a set of white drls without the switchback feature? Those are the only bulbs i have left to change after your interior and exterior led kit i installed this weekend which i love!!
