Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit
With this bi-mode vacuum retrofit solution you get everything you need to control your retrofitted
bi-mode exhaust!
The Exhaust Commander Elite rpm opening option we developed is also available available with this kit!
This NPP vacuum retrofit kit includes the wireless controller with one button keyfob remote, and all
of the necessary vacuum lines, vacuum solenoid and wiring to complete the control system installation.
It will give you full open / full closed modes and gives you the ability to switch between the modes
instantly using the supplied One button wireless remotes.
Typical install time is around 1 or 2 hours.
NO holes need to be drilled in your car when you mount the solenoid box outside of the car, and everything could be removed without a trace if you wanted to.
These systems are assembled and tested by Us, right here in the USA!
Quick install summary:
1: The engine vacuum tap used is the correct GM bi-mode vacuum port on the back of the
intake manifold, just like the 2008-20012 NPP C6, Z06 and ZR1's use. Not the brake booster or other critical
engine sensor systems. Do it right just like the GM factory does it. The GM engineers that designed the bi-mode exhaust system know the most reliable way to tap vacuum for the system is at the rear intake vacuum port.
The vacuum line is run above the tunnel plate from the engine to the
vacuum solenoid unit and then you hook up the vacuum lines to the butterfly valves on the mufflers.
2: The solenoid box is mounted outside the cabin requiring NO HOLES need to be drilled to install the system.
3: The wireless controller is located in the passenger fuse panel area just like all my innovative Exhaust Commander controllers allowing controller upgrades when they become available! The power cable is run
easily from the passenger foot well area to the rear of the car by tucking it underneath the trim panels.
4: Once everything is hooked up, Start the car and enjoy your fully operational bi-mode
exhaust system!

Exhaust Commander Elite works Great!
I installed the new Exhaust Commander Elite on our new 2012 Grand Sport and it works great! Easy install, no holes drilled. It's cool how the exhaust mode appears in the DIC. Easy to go from Quiet to Loud, and no extra key fob to keep track of.

Once you have the mufflers you would need the retrofit kit.
The retrofit kit includes all the vacuum tubing, the wiring, the vacuum solenoid and the electronic controller to open and close the butterflies.
The NPP retrofit kits are available here with prices listed on the website:
Exhaust Commander All-in-1 NPP bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit
Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit
The regular All-in-1 kit uses a keyfob remote, or can add the option of the universal visor remote to control the exhaust.
The Elite kit uses the door panel lock button, displays in th eDIC and HUD, and uses the cars actual keyfob for a remote when outside the car.
Here is a video of the Elite kit:
If you have additional questions, let us know.

When you press the lock buttons to change the modes, do the door locks continue to operate normally (will they lock)? Or does the Exhaust Commander disable the door lock button/key fob button?

To change exhaust modes you double press the lock button on your door panel or keyfob.
