FS: RED Brake Calipers, baskets, & pads for C6
C6 RED brake calipers, caliper baskets, brake lines, & brake pads
Painted in High temp ceramic caliper paint (gloss red)
Less than 6,000 miles on calipers. (Off of a 2009 corvette)
90% on brake pads.
Everything seen included (brake lines, etc)
$350 + 25 bucks for shipping to lower 48.

The calipers are the same, either for a base C6 or a Z-51.
Therefore, also the brake pads are the same for the two models as well.
However, the brackets are different sizes on Z-51 models in order
to move them out further to make room for the larger rotors on
z51 models.
These are from a base C6 corvette. So the calipers and pads are okay
for z-51, just not the brackets.

Melting Slicks
Wish the whole kit was for the Z51. This is for my wife's C6, she drives it on a daily basis back and forth to school, so I would need a one for one swap on the kit.

They were glass-beaded and then painted with high temp ceramic paint.
We chose to paint them because we were told you dont ever want to powdercoat calipers. Powder-coating creates a thermal barrier, trapping heat that the caliper is desperately trying to shed. I believe stock z-06 calipers are painted and not powdercoated for this reason. Sure, a powder coated surface is stronger than paint , but shedding brake dust would be the same I guess. Its a painted finish and wipes or rinses right off. Hope that helps.
