Nice setup.

Can I ask why you decided to put Ferrea Super alloy exhaust valves into it?

Thanks

They were recommendations from Richard at WCCH and the local NW ZO6 Guru, Tom Wong, who both recommended going with them just to be on the safe side.

I have it on my schedule and plan to. It is just a matter of the logistics of getting the car out there. I had plans to be there last year but had a family issue that prevented it.

I understand. Thanks

Yeah, I do recall that tjwong has the same valves in his own Z06.

Good luck with the sale, and congrats on the new build.

Yep I know what you mean about the logistics issue, it's something that I'm going to have to start working on soon my self. Last year I was lucky, the car was already there lol so simply springing for a ticket to attend was a no brainer! Congrats again on the build and good luck with the sale of your Street Attack engine. I've been talking to Jason about doing a similar build for a while but I think that when I pull the trigger I'm going to hold on to my existing engine to put back in the car if I ever decide to part with it. In any case bump for a great deal!

For anyone not in the know you are looking at $3.5k+ just on the ARE dry sump system alone, so this is a really great deal!

From what it looks like the heads weren't done in 2010. Did Katech suggest doing them in 2010?

Heads were done in 2010 but the guides were not. At that time, the guides had not been identified as a potential issue. Late last year I noticed some oil usage and more then normal noise coming from the valves. So, I pulled the heads and sent them to WCCH. Richard measured the guides and a number had excessive wear. So, had the heads completely re-worked and just put them back on in January 2013.
