Yes, the 1's go on one side and the 2's on the other side.
You should be able to figure out which goes on which side by the angles of the lenses when you test fit them.
If you put them on the wrong side the reflectors won't work correctly because the lenses will not be angled correctly when you are directly behind your car.

Are these lights offered tinted by any chance, i rememeber reading that you can have them tinted/sprayed. Not a fan of the covers. Thanks

We don't favor the spray. We sell the lenses, easy on, easy off can go back to stock for inspections etc.

My set actually had L and R embossed on them plus they are paired in the box.
