Hard to believe the dyno #s.. Seems any good aftermarket air intake could do that...as there is others with good filters...
Now driving , is where the true results may be seen..

Just seems odd to be pulling air right off the hot radiator.....

Default Air off radiator

I have a monitor that keeps track of the air intake temps and if I am driving 5 miles and hour or faster the intake air is within 5 degrees of the outside air. At a stoplight maybe it gets to be 10 degrees hotter than the outside air. So only at idle do you see any heat increase but once you get moving it goes back to the outdoor temps. I guess the radiator fans are sucking the hot air away from the intake area.

You say you installed this on a grand sport yet in your video it shows a z06 what's up with that! Where did the grand sport go?

I bought this intake a couple of months ago. Very nice piece with a huge panel filter getting cold air through the front like ram air. I will say this, it needs a tune. The fuel trims are +15-18% going down the highway so it trips o2s in a lean condition. More air equals more power. I'm going to get new o2s and tune it with my LG Super Pro LTs I just got in (:

Still interested in this intake but I haven't seen anyone else with this on an ls3. Your video claims its a grand sport but that's looks like a z06

So it does require a tune. Any surging without tune?

Ram Air did a YouTube video a month ago and they just finished editing it down. They installed the Ram Air “Hammerhead” intake on a Grand Sport C6 and made +23 rwhp without a tune and with a tune made +54 rwhp.

As you can see no answers are given in reference to this, they just keep posting the same video no matter what anyone says

This to me and others is not an answer to the question asked by bordovskyj. I worry that people will be turned off by the lack of direct answers to questions and will go else where. I myself have been following this thread waiting for a direct answer to peoples questions(which are the same as mine) and being concerned for your business I will tell you I myself might go with a different system due to lack of a real answer to specific questions. I'm not being mean or rude. It's a simple question.

1.Is there any surging or other drivability issues without a tune?
2.Does the system need a tune?
Easy questions. 1.Yes or no 2.Yes or no
Thank you

My apologies, no surging and it is recommended that you do a tune after you instal the Ram air, see post #174 here for some more detail https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1589115436
