*****SOLD******6 CD/MP3/audio port radio
*****SOLD******
I am selling the radio from my 2010 GS. Unlike earlier versions, it plays MP3 formatted CDs, has a built-in 3.5 mm audio port, and holds 6 CDs. $125 plus shipping.

I'm interested, but need to find out a little more. A previous post stated that it would work in a 2006 - would it work in a 2005? (It looks like its size is physically the same as my 2005.) What programming would it need to get it to work in my 2005? Is it just to get the car computer to recognize the component? I'm assuming the Chev. dealership would be the one doing the programming.
Thanks,
Chuck

I replaced this unit with a NAV one, and it did require programming at a dealer. I do not know if the non-NAV units also require dealer programming.

I'm not sure what he meant about that, but I do know they play fine in my 2005. I've been recording mp3's onto CD's and playing them just fine. I had the AM/FM/6 CD player that I just took out and replaced it with this unit. The main difference between my original one and this one was this one had the 3.5mm input to connect to a mp3 player.
The only issue that I ran into was that the stem diameter of the volume and tuning ***** was different than that on my 2005 radio. I had aftermarket ***** on the radio and temp. controls and went back to the originals until I can get matching ***** again.
