RPS Billet Carbon Twin Clutch...lightly used
SOLD!!!
I have a customer that wanted my Billet Carbon Triple and part of the deal was for his Billet Carbon Twin. The only reason that I accepted his old clutch is because I know him well enough to know how gingerly this clutch has been treated.
The thickness of the discs on a brand new clutch is .305"
See the measurement pics below. Here are the measurements:
Top disc thickness is .303" (down 2 thousandths of an inch)
the intermediate disc is .296" (down 9 thousandths)
and the bottom disc is .304" (down 1 thousandth)
With about 1000 miles. The car has never been launched with this clutch, EVER. The car has never been wide open throttle with this clutch. This is a wicked show car and the owner typically trailers it everywhere.
All friction surfaces are carbon fiber. Not carbon on metal. Carbon on carbon, including the flywheel surface. There is no better clutch. Barely more than stock pedal effort with these. The only reason more people don't buy these is because they're so expensive. 2400.00 new.
Here's what RPS has to say about their clutch:
RPS's BC2 (Billet Carbon Twin) is the best value in full Carbon Twin Disc clutches on the market today. These clutches use our unique "Strapless" design with a new billet aluminum cover and pressure plate. This "Strapless" design replaces the traditional three strap system used to locate the old-school cast iron pressure plate in a steel cover. Our new system not only makes for a much lighter clutch, but also a much stronger clutch.
RPS's BC2 clutch does not use a marcel spring in the outer disc, becuase lighter weight discs and super fast shifts are a very important feature of our BC Series. Even without the marcel, this clutch is smoother to drive on the street than most of our competition.
This clutch is great for the serious racer who is looking for better 60-ft times as well as better lap times.
All RPS Carbon clutches use a full carbon floater plate that eliminates the warping and bending associated with standard steel plates.
Here's the 3 disc measurements. The higher ones are the splined discs and the lower value one is the intermediate/stationary plate. The discs measure 9.25" across and I'm told this clutch weighs 32lbs.
Zero'd dial caliper, pressure applied, held square (perpendicular) to the surfaces to achieve lowest possible (truest) values.

It's not. I've known this customer a fairly long time and the entire car was originally built at Dallas Performance.
