Unfortunately, my front splitter arrived cracked

I finally got over to the body shop and spent SIX hours with my guys installing this piece. The fit was far from perfect. It seemed a bit too small, but as I had the front bumper off, I felt pretty committed to completing the project. While we were in there we did some impromptu reinforcing. I track my car and I don't want to see the front pulling down or dragging on the ground. The drivers side mated to the bumper well. The passenger side was a real pita. If you look at the photo of the final installation, you'll see a 'wave' in the passenger side near the ZR1 air vent. I installed the supports for extra reinforcement and strength. I'm going to do a thread on the install, but here's the final product.







Did the LG front tow hook at the same time. That was also a bit of a job, but it all worked out. Both of these installs (splitter and tow hook) are two person jobs for sure!..it should be possible to install the splitter without taking the bumper off, but I had to take it off for the supports and the tow hook anyway. You will need two people to line things up and hold things. You are going to drill into your bumper.

For the price, I am pleased. If I'd paid a lot more, i would have returned the piece because of the fitment. It can be installed decently, but don't expect a factory fit on this, at least on the base model, IMO. I like the guys at C7 and they've always been helpful and supported the products I've purchased. This is a "B Stock" item, but fitment should not be affected by this. I'm not knocking C7 in any way. I think the piece looks awesome and I can't even see the imperfections. I'm just relating my installation experience.

Thanks for the heads up. Our Blem splitters have slight cosmetic issues only... they do not ship from our factory with that type of damage, this must have occurred during delivery, nevertheless we are more than glad to help. Details sent on PM
