Default various stuff DSV wheel

Well, sold the 2009. I have a few things left to move.

a DSV D-steering wheel, was about $800 plus when I bought it, has the perforated leather, plus carbon fiber with grey/silver contrast stitching. This was on my car for about 5,000 miles. I have more pictures I can send and am happy to answer any questions.

$500 plus shipping

A escort/passport radar detector mount and direct wire. This is the one that mounts to the screw on your visor and hard wires into your mirror. You can unplug the detector of course.
$10.00 plus shipping

I have my original console door. Grey. Was on the car less than 1,000 miles (I put a DSV cover on)

$30.00 plus shipping

I have one DVD navigation disc, the East portion and original folder it came in. Make me an offer

I also have a set of the left and right buttons on the steering wheel, the radio/etc controls, and some basic caps. If you want more info, pm me. I'll consider any offer.

thanks for looking and let me know if you want more info or more pics.
Attached Images

Does the steering wheel only work for an auto or can it be installed on a M6?

I don't think difficult at all. In my view, GM has one steering wheel for all. Makes no sense to put developmental dollars into one wheel for auto and one wheel for stick. the paddle shifters screw into the back of the frame. In a stick, those screw holes simply go empty. the only difference between 05 and later models, if I recall, is that there are more buttons on the wheel for radio, blue tooth, phone etc. but those are not a function of the wheel. Those are tied to the caps around them, and the caps all screw into the same place on the wheel frame. Nothing changes on all the stuff attached to the wheel, you just transfer it from the original wheel on your car to this.

DSV just takes your wheel of your vette and makes the wheel. it's not a custom wheel or anything so pretty sure one wheel fits all as far as the frame and wheel go. all the other stuff, covers, switches, airbag, etc. all transfer on to this wheel

see my comment below. I know of no reason it wouldn't fit on a stick. all your stuff transfers from your wheel on to this. the paddle shifters like I had simple screwed onto the back of the frame. I can't imagine why GM would spend the money to develop two different steering wheels just to cut out two screw holes on the frame which aren't seen because they are in the frame which is all covered up.

Also, when I bought this, a local friend got one at the same time. His was a stick. We installed them together, walked through the process. As I recall, his wheel was exactly like mine.

Oh, and one other note, when I ordered the wheel, DSV didn't ask what year, whether auto or manual, and I didn't send them my frame as a core. I put the original back on when I pulled this off.

Just a FYI

The 2005 Steering Wheel is Different that a 2006-2011 steering wheel.
There is a way to to put a 2006-2011 wheel on the 05 but involves buying different parts etc .. $$.
There's something called a clock spring on the 05 that needs to be changed out, and the air bag is different so a 2006-2011 airbag is also needed for the new wheel

Again,.. it can be done and this thread ( one of many ) explains it and parts needed $$.

Great looking wheel, Good Luck with the sale

I am interested in the steering wheel but my interior is light linen/black 3LZ. I know that the stitching on this wheel is grey but it may not be that noticeable in my light linen car. Can you send me a couple close up pics of the stitching? jsita@lustine.com

You will need a new steering wheel clock spring for a 06+ c6, and a new plastic cover that goes behind the steering wheel. They are extremely difficult to find. You will also need an airbag.
