Very odd that an officer would visit him. This is not a criminal issue, it is a civil issue and as such the police have nothing they can legally do. .... now in saying that maybe they did a courtesy call for you, and he spoke with them and admitted to doing something stupid, and if that's the case you should send the station a thank you package. The subject could have told the police to leave and made you sue him to get a judgment..... and in most cases a judgment isn't worth the paper it's written on. Glad it worked out for you!

Please post this in the transaction feedback section, because (1) That's where it's supposed to be (2) and that's where people check for scammers before buying.
Good luck with this, but I think you are in the clear for sure.

PS ALWAYS ship items to the verified address on paypal!!! never ship to another address cause the buyer asks. thats how they scam and chargeback paypal without you having any recourse

Our little friend CRUSHERCOBRA went through with the chargeback... My paypal account is now negative. Anyone local in North Miami Beach that can do a little investigation and maybe get some pics of his car with the wheels on it? I know its a lot to ask but I doubt the cop can do a lot. Im going to call the police again in the morning to see where to go from here. I already responded to paypal as well. I feel sick to my stomach

google searching his user name turns up plenty of negative ****. Sounds like a real piece of work. sounds like you need to take a vaca to miami and make sure those wheels are really a "Total Loss"

Might be a case of fraud and that would be an issue for the police. Call the local PA in the area and speak with him. At the least, it should be stealing by deceit.

Just a thought but this guy may not even have a Corvette and was scamming from the beginning. Keep us posted on the call to police tomorrow. If I were in Miami I would help in any way I could.

In paypals eyes it's should be cut and dry via screen shots off your phone.
Customer paid
Buyer shipped
Customer received
Customer claims product was destroyed by his wife (AFTER it was received in great condition)
Once customer takes delivery he owns it. And is responsible for paying for it.
There is no crazy €unt clause in paypals terms and conditions that I'm aware of

I still do not understand why paypal won't do the right thing here!.he has the wheels and his monster wife according to him destroyed them so why would the act on his favor? Have you forwarded his messages to paypal?

I'm sorry, but something's not adding up here. Not saying you're lying, but cops visiting him before any crime committed. PayPal giving him back his money just cause he asked for it back? What are you leaving out??

PayPal is very good with protecting both buyers and sellers so why did they just hand his money back without proof of him shipping items back or asking you about the situation?

It's obvious you don't understand how PayPal works.
