Default FS: Scrap LS7 Ti rods and pistons

I bought a used set of rods, and had another set from an engine that lost a valve.

I figured between the two sets I could probably find eight good rods. Well I was completely wrong. I sent them off to be inspected and honed and they all came back out of spec.

I was going to throw these away, but though someone may want one for a souvenir or project, and I could recoup some of the money spent on machining them.

Some have obvious damage, and some look good but are out of spec.

$10 a rod, $15 piston/rod plus shipping. I'll stuff as many of them in a flat rate box as I can.

I don't have all the rod bolts, but each rod will have at least one bolt to keep the cap secured to the rod.

Almost all of the piston pins have been drilled out. They're still three but you can push them out with a little pressure.

I currently have 12 piston/rods combos left and two additional pistons. I'm working my way through the PMs.

Eric,

I'm curios as I've been thinking of picking up a set to LS7 Ti rods for a build. In what way were the rods out of spec? Do you know the history of the rods, power adders, nitrous, etc?

After being honed to the end of production tolerance they were still out of round. One engine was stock, and the other had a tune but wasn't boosted.

All I have left is two pistons.

If you sent payment yesterday, your packages got dropped off at the post office this morning.

If you sent payment today, I will get them packaged up and get them to the post office on Monday.

Thanks.

If anyone falls through on completing the purchase of rods, I'll take two, and the left over pistons. If rods don't become available, I'll pass on the pistons.

Have an idea for the ugliest lamp made of very expensive parts...
