Default HP Tuners A/C Disable Settings?

I just got HPTuners and I've downloaded my stock BIN. After studying it I've noticed that the A/C disable under System and A/C the disable RPM is 7083 rpm and the disable TPS is 200%. That sounds like the A/C never turns off at WOT like it should. What am I missing?

That's exactly what mine has for values. I think the best thing to do is turn the AC off before making any WOT runs.

My 98 Camaro had 4294 rpm disable. That makes more sense. It did have 100% disable TPS.

What confuses me is that everyone says that the A/C does disable at WOT. Is there another device on the car that does this?

HPtuners just wrote back and said these are the stock settings and that the A/C compressor does NOT shut off.

Don't think that would be too good for the compressor. I may change mine to the values that my Camaro had if that's the case.

I'm thinking the same thing. However, I'm thinking of putting something less than 100% for TPS disable.

Thanks,
Glenn

ahh that was you Glenn? hehe

Just by this post I can tell you why your trims arent coming up in your histograms...its because you have an 06 C6 which doesnt have a true VE table which both the LTFT & STFT tables are based on by default. Most people are just making a custom histogram plotting against the high & low maf tables. I can't remember if the premade ones were inserted into .18 or not but they should already be posted in our config & histogram repository on our forum http://www.hptuners.com/forum/index.php in the Gen 4 section

Oh, I just sent you an email about 5 minutes ago. I should have told you I had an 06 Vette, sorry. I am assuming you are Bill and not Jay.

Thanks, you guys are the BEST!! Best customer support I've seen.

Thanks,
Glenn

Hard on the AC clutch to enable and disable at high RPMs.

Might be harder on it to run 8000? or 9000?+ rpms too. The crank is larger than the AC compressor pulley by some percent so the compressor turns much faster than engine rpm.

It should probably be set so it turns off and back on at it's safe rpm. If anybody knows that value.
