Default What causes Gurgle on Decel? What could cause it to be reduced? Disappear?

I just swapped my fg102 halltech intake for a mf103 intake. The car was tuned with the fg102, but they are very similar.

My question is....after installing the new intake....my "gurgle" went away. My car used to pop and gurgle nicely on decel, and now its been reduced by about 50-75 percent at low rpms.....higher rpms downshifts (i.e. into about 3,000)

Power feels about the same. It also seems to "rpm hover" a little when coming to a quick stop.

What could cause all the above? Do I have a new maf leak? Did I have a maf leak with the old one? Not maf related?

I only figure the maf, im not sure how sealed it is on the new intake.

thanks

When you swapped the intake, was the tune changed at all?

I was able to change the popping/gurgling by changing the DFCO entry spark values.

It is called DFCO and it is programmed into the factory tune. De-acceleration fuel cut off. Basically it is a lean condition that is causing it but it is on purpose. You can eliminate but it is also not hurting anything other than it annoys some people.

DFCO settings will often lead to a loss of mileage when altered...try adding timing in the decel areas where you hear the popping, cleans it right up with no affect on mileage.

Thanks
