NicD is the main guy I have used. He is on LS1tech under that name, I would say he is one of if not the best in AZ.

Hey guys. How is the Phoenix area for Vettes? I'm heading out to Az July 1st for a week to look at homes in Gilbert, chandler,Mesa n Goodyear area. Hoping to move to Az this year.
Any info be great. Also any cars shows or gatherings that go on during the week I could go see?

I moved here a year ago. Car scence is worst I've ever seen but overall I love it. I'm in Gilbert. If you need a relator mine was awesome. Helps that he drag races and has a 2500hp Camaro. Goodyear is kind of the other side of the valley. Gilbert/chandler is very nice. I love the food and non-car people around here.

To the OP, you could try to pay Jon6.0 to tune your car.

Just curious about the worst you have ever seen statement. Had bad experiences with people, or just not many "car people" in Gilbert?

There are quite a few car shows on a weekly basis, and a 1/4 mile track within a 15 minute drive seems pretty good to me. The heat does knock things down quite a bit for 4-5 months though.

If you are into shows, there are a lot of shows. I'm not a show person.

People are either retired show people which isn't my crowd, or teenage highschool street racing shop groupies that want nothing but drama. There is a few exception but compared to everywhere else I've lived it is pretty slim here for quality car people. In Utah you could goto cars and coffee and meet 50+ people there were cool, just wanted to hang out, do cruises, etc. Here you have to join the click or be an outcast. If you share an opinion out here, or are more than a corvette enthusiast you get crap, and not friendly joking with buddy stuff.

In a year I can say I've met maybe 5-6 decent car people (2-3 vette owners, 2-3 mustang owners). Same time frame in Utah I probably had 30+ car friends and was doing 1/4 BBQs with 50+ people at my house, installing parts on the weekend, drinking beer with them, weekly cruises, dinners, etc.

Well then why don't we all pick a day, time and place to get together?

I just had a base tune from NicD put in my car a couple days ago, and what a difference!!!! The difference in the trans tuning alone was worth it, its a completely different animal.

As long as a person loves talking about cars, working on them etc. I wouldn't discriminate anyone.

I have a lot of friends who have mustangs, camaros. As long as u love cars. That's all that matters
