Well it's been 2months since the OP replied so hopefully he has made a decision, but in case he hasn't....

You have arguably 3 of the best LS tuners in the northeast within an hour or so of you. They have countless of fast vehicles roaming the streets at any given time. They hold numerous records and have the experience on the track to back them up and duplicate the builds if need be. I personally have had work done by 2 of these shops and spoken in depth with the 3rd about future builds. I have 2 vehicles built by these shops which have thousands of miles and many years of trouble-free enjoyment built to my specifications with their guidance. No sales pitch and no high-pressure tactics. Tell them what you want and your budget and they'll come up with a build to meet your needs.

In no particular order:

I honestly couldn't in good conscious recommend 1 over the other, however if you want forced induction, ECS is the shop to go to. Other than that, you'd be hard pressed to find better shops closer to you for any LS work. Call and/or visit them and let that guide your decision.

To the original poster.

Any tuner out there can tweak out a few more ponies with a little fuel curve adjustment and a little more timing.

If you are like me you are likely to change something or make a mod and then need a re-tune. So consider a tuning service that won't cost you again down the road as you upgrade. I have been there and done that with two different cars now.

All that aside if I were doing it all again from scratch the first thing I'd do is add a CoW Booster and trany tune from Chuck CoW. That made the car a whole new car and extremely fun to drive. And I don't think there is any place else to get that.

Chuck's a great tuner too and is not far from you.

Default Another vote for Chuck

Chuck C.O.W. has tuned all three of my corvettes. 2008 coupe, 2011 Z06 and just recently my 2013 427. I purchased the COW Boost and tuning with AutoCal. Chuck does a great job...He will not stop until the tune is great. The last car he tuned we went back and forth with scans and tunes about 10 times. I live in Western Canada and I am so happy to be able to get the expertise of a man like Chuck without making a major road trip. The best part is, if I add mods to my car, Chuck can re-tune for a small fee.

Another thing to consider:

Brick, NJ to Cartek = 53 minutes
Brick, NJ to ECS = 37 minutes
Brick, NJ to TT = 16 minutes

Brick, NJ to RPM = 1 hour 47 minutes
Brick, NJ to CoW = 1 hour 56 minutes
Brick, NJ to Vette Doctors = 2 hours 42 minutes

I can't tell you the benefits of having a tuner close by. Not taking anything away from these other shops. If you had no choice and all of the good tuners were a couple of hours away, then of course, go where you need to go. But 3 great tuners in less than an hours driving time? No brainer as far as I'm concerned.

No I have not decided on which to use, I have used all the tuners mentioned in a reply by "shado" except for Tune Time and RPM on other cars I've owned (some as far back as 1998).

I have no plans or desires to add or make any other changes to the car over the Airaid CAI that is on the car, so a "future re-tune" is not something I'm considering.

I'd still highly recommend the CoW Booster and trany tune. It will make your car a LOT more fun to drive. Having done it twice now, it's the first thing I'd do.

And that can be separate and apart from a tune.
