I had MTI Racing build a motor for me and tune the car, the car runs great put down 505/451 on the factory exhaust. The car had a hard time starting during the break in and when I took it back to have tuned, come to find out it has a bad cam position sensor PO340, PO341. Can I just replace the bad sensor and the tune be ok? Or does it need to be retuned with the sensor fixed?

Change the sensor and you'll be fine, no retune will be necessary.

Hello, I wanted to bump this thread to get a bit more info on the E85 Sensors.

From what i seen and read the sensor helps read the ethanol content but, what good is that if most kits do not offer a gauge for the C7 set ups? if you are not able to see the ethanol content, what is the purpose of the sensor? Since it is pinned to the ECU does it allow to run Octane lower than E85 safely even though the ECU is tuned for E85?

I ran E85 on my 13 Coyote for 3 years without a sensor and never ever ran into any issues and now I'm curious to know if the sensor is even necessary for the C7.

The point is it can adjust fueling and timing automatically based on ethanol content. Run e10 and it turns timing down. Run e85 and it turns it up. All of this has to be setup in the tune but it isn’t complicated to do.
