Default Please help!!!!!

I have a 08 c6 ls3 manual car will not start or crank . just put a new battery to try and fix all gauges work and windows work everything works but when u hit the push start it all shuts off and comes back on . I have checked all grounds andand andterminals are clean tight do the 08 s have the steering column lock problem . Only thing I have noticed is the column never locks locks. The wheels always turn any help is greatly appreciated

Vin does not fall in that group and key fob seems OK . I thought this was the problem but its working, no security issues just won't start

I understand you feel the FOB is working correctly but i had this same issue with my 2009. I put the FOB in the glove box FOB slot and the car started up. Did you try the FOB slot in the glove box?

Yes I am going to put a tender on another brand new battery then put it in the car and than try the fob in glove box again

Default A fix for the column lock issue

This is very strange, but if you are having issues with your column lock (I did in my 2005), go to Batteries Plus and put 2 new batteries in your FOBs.
I wasn't even getting the FOB not detected warning, but a $7.50 purchase has completely fixed the problem.
