Default etc fan question

Using hpt, my fans are coming on at start up and not wanting on the ect to warm up. Any way to modify this? I have the low speed fan set for 195 on and 190 off and the high speed set for 220 on and 210 off.

You can increase the fan % desired here:

I don't have a setting for fan on/off on my 2013 car.

You have a single fan. It can be tuned off with zero's in the right places.

The OP has a dual fan model. Awaiting model year.

Correction..........the 2013's actually have dual fans that are wired in parallel to mimic a single fan.............no need to turn them off and an adjustment after a 160 install is really not necessary either.

I reviewed a tune for a 2013 A6 C6 and it showed "Number of fans = 1" and no one said there was a need to turn them off and most tuners alter the values in Desired % vs. ECT when a 160* thermostat is installed.

Now back to what the OP asked in the beginning.

You did bro..........thanks for your input.

I'm sure my post about the "Fan Desired %" will help him.

This is the first I heard of that. Was this something new for 2013? I would love to see pics of it if anyone has some.

Could possibly make adding dual brushless fans easier than having a shorud made.

Have searched a number of C6 tunes as this is the C6 forum, and I cannot find any that have dual fans and a 195* ECT settings on the fans. Again what year and type of car do you have?

My apologies! Jim2092 is correct. Sometimes, I don't know why I bother..........I owe you a beer.

However............there isn't an on/off setting for a 2013 car though........just "Fan Desired %".

I set mine at 15% = 192/196 then increase up to 90% max.
