Default Custon Tuner in Hawaii

Hey fellas,

Been a few years since I've been really active, and I thought id check to see if anyone knows of a LS Specialty tuner either in, or coming to Hawaii?

Ive got a few small bugs in my tune that my tuner cannot get rid of, and I'm wondering if my "bugs" are mechanical issues that cannot be rectified via tuning...

Particularly, after getting on the gas beyond 1/4 throttle or above, I cannot immediately depress the clutch of the car will stall. I KNOW that this has evrything to do with the Air/Fuel ratio, meaning there is too much fuel in the cylinder, and the PCM cannot correct it fast enough before it stalls. The question is, are my injectors too large, thus dumping too much fuel, as it seems it cannot be tuned out...

I was looking AT&T the Haltech Elite 2500 as a means to correct this as well as the MANY other benefits of using it, but as far as this one issue, the Haltech Elite can learn and unlearn things while driving.

I'm not a tuner, I have no time or will to learn, particularly on a build as complex as mine. That said, I'll need to rely on a specialist tuner that knows Vette's and LS motors specifically.

Please let me know if you are aware of anyone you know that lives in, or will be visiting Honolulu in the near future.

Thanks!

Keith

If no one responds, I would give Chuck of COW a call. He is a forum vendor out here, and he does a lot of remote tuning for vettes.

Thank you! and Yes, I have some highschool friends in Maui I'd love to see and I've made some friends on the other islands as well.

It would not be too hard to twist my arm into going back!

I contacted the local shop and will see if they have the knowledge to work on my motor. There are a ton of things I'd like to get done but I don't trust my baby with just anyone.

Otherwise I'll call Chuck Cow for the tune and live with the rest of my issues.

Thanks to all for your input, it is all very much appreciated!

My apologies for the delay in response Chuck. Been dealing with the loss of my father.

My c-6 is an 05 with an LPE heads, cam, intake set-up, BB Bullet exhaust, Phadt coil overs, 09 Z06 diff and trans, and an ECS blower kit supported by a Kenne Bell boost a pump. Rear wide body kit with 18" rims and R-888's all the way around.

I'm seriously looking into one of those ERL Superdeck I short blocks and bolting my heads and cam, etc to it, though I'd need a larger blower to make a bit more power. I'm after 750-800 of safe WHP is all. I could probably squeeze another 75 WHP from what I'm making now (625) , i just don't know for how long with the stock LS2 block.

My biggest complaint about my car is that after getting on the throttle maybe 1/4 or more, if I depress the clutch, my engine wants to stall as there is too much fuel in there and not enough air. The tuners in Honolulu cannot get rid of it, and have somehow now made it so after 5mph, the rpm revs an additional 400 which is truly frustrating. Whats even more frustrating is that he doesn't even remember doing it.

If this a tune issue, or an injector thing, or? The problem with having a highly modified Vette in Hawaii is that there are ZERO specialists here. The gent that did all my installs was great, but not strictly an LS guy. I've even thought of one of those new Haltek Elite 2500 ECM's as they supposedly self learn and then correct possible issues, in hope that doing so would help.

PM me anytime Chuck, I'd love to talk over the phone at anytime. Send me your number or I'll send you mine via PM.
