Default Dead battery

Battery went dead over the winter. Replaced battery. Won't start, lights stay on, check engine light is on. Is there a reset I need to do?

Purchase or buy a code reader (some parts stores have them to borrow) and read the code and then clear it. Then try and restart - also get on internet for what the code means.
