Hi guys. Don't post in this section much but I have a data log and dyno chart I'm going to post and see if anyone has any idea why my throttle body is closing. My first guess is that it's because of the amount of boost but some people have the same TB with no issues. Mine is a few years old so it could be one of the reasons why.
Had the car on the dyno last night at every time at 6000 rpm it would close the throttle body. The car has seen 7000 rpm on less boost but it wasn't throwing any codes afterwards it would just snap shut to about 25% and bleed off boost.
No idea on this. I think an 08 would be an LS3 TB. I use an LS2 and have no issues at near 20lbs of boost so I don't think boost is the issue. Maybe it is just defective somehow?
Maybe it's not the TB at all? Could it be something in the tune, like TM via ETC? Maybe the ECM somehow is seeing something that commands the ETC to close at that RPM? Does it happen at that RPM in every gear? I would check things like speed limiter via ETC and TM via ETC. To my mind, the fact that it's happening at the same RPM would indicate something other than the TB itself, but I'm no expert. Hope you get it sorted.
