Default Intune 91 worth it or wait?

Hello all,
Is the Intune 91 octane worth it on a stock 13 M6 car?
I will be adding headers this coming winter and getting tuned again in spring, maybe going diablew route.
I only want to use 91 octane pure gas in my car. No ethanol 94.

thanks
Paul

It will add some good power, kill skip shift, improve throttle response, and generally wake the car up in a good way

Does the car have to "learn" its new tune after the initial install or is it good right away?

Because i installed the diablo tune on my 2006 pontiac gto and it made my idle all loopey, like it had a huge cam.

It works right away.

That was an old issue with the LS2 GTO tunes, has been corrected

My concern though is I'm using the same trinity device.

Will it work differently when I install the tune on my c6 or do I need to update or download a c6 version of the tune?

I bought the trinity like 4 years ago.

If it hasn't been update din years, yes, updating it would be a good idea.

How does the 91 octane tune work with headers? Would I be able to push the car to its limits when I put the headers on without doing any potential damage? I know a custom tune would be the best option and I will get that, however to get the data logging required for a custom tune I need to run it through its paces, am I right?

Thanks

Just updated it now. It has never been updated lol

Original born date was like october 2011 lol

Took about 20-25 minutes for all the updates to download. Not sure if it'll be any different when i load the diablo tune tomorrow for the first time in the C6. On my GTO it ran like crap.

I hope it won't tomorrow. I'll update tomorrow.

You'll get a better tune with a custom tune from a guy like Lew from DiabLew @ http://www.diablewtune.com/.

^ill probably do that if I decide not to install my long tubes. Because I don't want to void the warranty.

But update. I uploaded the diablo tune just 2 hours ago, adjust the fans first.

It started right up and idled perfect!

Took a bit easy for the first 20 miles or so. Did a low rpm 2nd gear pull and I was immediately pulled back in my seat! No its not placebo I really think the faster throttle response plus the new tune I think it def has at least 15rwhp, maybe slightly more. And that's something you can feel. A sotp feel.

Either way very happy compared to the diablo tune on my ls2 gto which made it run funny.

This time on my grand sport it runs pretty awesome for a canned tune.

you'll have to get a custom tune done for the headers anyway, because you'll throw trouble codes and get the CEL..

and only way to disable those is via a custom tune..

so yes, I'd be able to hook you up with a custom tune.. www.diablewtune.com

Yeah, i think either way i'll probably do a custom tune. Not sure how much better a custom tune can be over stock that i can feel. I already feel a difference with the canned tune.

But i really wanna install these long tubes but everyone is saying it'll void the warranty. My car only has 7k miles so not sure if i should just enjoy it for another year bone stock or do the long tubes now and pray my car stays reliable.

I don't wanna do a custom tune, then decide i'll do the long tubes, then have to do another log and do another custom tune lol.

I'll know by the end of the summer if i'm gonna do long tubes. I will definitely let you know on the custom tune though, i know you do good work
