Yep , Diablo does not do anything to the Throttle tables

I installed my VTC before my Diablo tune but I am confident it does not matter

here is a brief explanation on how the VTC works

GM throttles have a reverse exponential

So 50% of gas pedal does not equal 50% of throttle and so on

Think of it this way
25% Gas pedal = 10 % throttle
50% Pedal = 35% throttle
75% Pedeal = 65% throttle
100% = 100%

(I am sure there are way more throttle points in the ecm than this but you get the idea )

the VTC does not add any power as 100% always = 100%

The VTC fools the ECM into opening the throttle proportionality straight

So SP5 = straight line 25 = 25 50 = 50 75 = 75 and 100 = 100

SP7 and higher acturally reverse the exponential
25 = 35 50 = 75 100 = 100

The feeling it produces is amazing , the car no longer feels like a dog as the throttle is so responsive , the trans holds the lower gears longer

Most keep it on SP9 , but SP9 in my car will overcome the traction control and blow the tires off of it

I use SP7 most of the time and back it down to SP 3 if I get caught in wet weather

Here's what that table looks like in the ECM.

schpenxel, thanks for the graph. A couple of questions for you.

1. Is this an actual graph from a tuner or datalog program?

2. Is this with a stock tune?

3. Is the with the Vitesse TC installed? If not, would you be able to get the same graph with the VTC installed?

Thanks for all the great technical support that you provide to the fellow CF members.

Yes that's from HP Tuners

Yes it's from a stock tune

The Vitness controller has no effect on this table. The Vitness controller changes the relationship between where the pedal is and where the computer THINKS the pedal is. It does nothing to the tune.

Will any of these tuner programs, or any application, show what the TB is actually doing or is this as good as it gets?

I'm just not very smart about any of this stuff.

With HPT you can log where the throttle blade is and you can log where the ECM thinks the pedal is.. but it will look just like the table I posted. If the throttle blade isn't where it's expected to be the ECM goes into reduced power mode and then you aren't going far.

This device is just telling the computer the pedal is in a different place than it actually is

It's possible to do some testing to figure out exactly what this controller is doing in the different modes, but it wouldn't be a simple thing to do
