Default New engine will not turn over

I was to the point in my new build to turn the engine over with no spark plugs to build oil pressure, then finish and start my new engine. New battery and all wiring connections are good. Fuel pump fuse pulled. And the engine will not turn over when the start button is pushed. The engine was out of the car, new clutch, pp and to bearing, all bled and working as advertised, but nothing.

What have I missed?

Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Check the kill switch on the clutch peddle.

That was my first idea, and I will investigate the switch. However, the car has not me been moved or even sat in, except to pump the clutch pedal to bleed the system, and I thought that it would have to be a real coincidence if that was actually my problem.

Does it turn over by hand cranking?

I Jumped the clutch switch and the starter worked, so, after two weeks waiting for a new switch, it arrived yesterday, installed it, and the engine will now turn over using the ignition button.

Now, about two hours of installing plugs, coolant, and checking, then double checking, everything, it should be ready to fire up. It's been a long journey, but conservative estimates should be in the 800 rwhp area.

Next, strengthening the drivetrain.

Thanks everyone for the posts.

Peace.
