Default A6 Nitrous guys. Chime in.

I'm thinking about spraying a 150-200 shot on my Forged LS3. It's cam + full boltons.
I have a built century trans, FTI3600 converter, and RPM Stage 2 3.42 diff. Running a Weld drag pack with MT ET streets 25.7" tall tire.

N/A best 60's I can cut are 1.62'
My question is do you guys spray through the shifts? Or have a progressive controller to spray a few hundred RPM before the shift? My car currently shifts at 6800RPM. I have HPTuners should I set it to shift at a lower rpm?
Also I'll be running out of gear ~128mph. How many of you had put big power on 5th gear?

I think you need a taller tire like an M&H 325/45/17 which is what I'm going to install now on my car. It's listed as a 28" but is actually closer to 27.5".
Also, are you locking the converter in 4th gear? If so, you should be able to get to 140+ with that tire.
I hit 139mph the other day in 4th at around 6700, with the converter locked, according to a scan that I took using HPT. I've run it as fast as 143 in 5th with the converter locked, and it pulled strong up until I let off. I'm running an FTI 3600, Z06 Diff with 3.42s and Nitto 345 19s, with a Magnuson HBeat at 12 psi and a VR 223/239, .615"/.623", 118+4 cam.
Unless it's a mild cam, you want it to shift at 6600-6800, IMV. My car pulls strong to 7200, but I have the shift points set at around 6800.

What converter do you have? And at what RPM/Speed do you lock it?
I have an FTI3600 but not sure if it's a multidisk or not. I bought it used in late 2012.

I have the triple disc 3600. I would bet that yours is a triple disc too. I lock mine at 85mph which is towards the top of third gear at WOT. You can really feel it lock too. It locks as hard or harder than when it shifts. I have the TCC clutch pressure pressure turned up pretty high in the tune and, IIRC I don't have any TCC slip in the tune either.

What kind of 60' are you getting on the spray? Is it hooking? What about off the bottle? Does it hook then and still only get a 1.62? I would've thought that with that converter and gear you should be getting somewhere in the 1.4x range, even N/A. That's a short tire though, so it must be hard to hook with that converter and gear.

That's the best 60' I can get N/A. Tire dead hooks. You cant really feel the harsh lock up under part throttle on this one. I've tried just getting it off idle, 1200, 1500, 2000, and 2500(highest I can brake stall it). All usually between 1.62-1.68
I contacted FTI and they said at one point they did make single disks so I'm not too sure.
