Default Z06 Diablosport Predator doubts.

Hello guys,

I now this has been discussed many times, but I'm new in the American cars, so ...
I recently bought a 09' Z06, with Borla exhaust, K&N CAI, and I'm not sure if it maybe has also headers...
Yesterday I've installed the 91 oct Tune... Maybe it was my impression by I felt the car more aggressive in the mid range ...
For what I read, the car should gain about 20 WHP? It's that too optimistic ? It's dangerous for the engine ?

Any advise will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've had doubts about the Preditor and any tune applied to a stock engine. The factory tune has tolerance for a broad range of environmental conditions.

With the stock tune, we can beat the snot out of it at 6,000' elevation canyon carving or in 105F heat in the desert on the way to Vegas w/out concern of knock and running too lean or simply getting bad gas.

I think the Preditor leans out the air/fuel mixture to gain little power and that removes built-in tolerances for the broad range of driving environments. My advice is to put the factory tune back and focus on something else like putting the power down and driving the streets in a safe buck completely reckless manner w/out getting caught . 505 HP is a lot to handle!

The 93 tune for the LS7 applications picks up a solid 25 rwhp safely, I would say about 20 rwhp on 91 octane.

The tunes are perfectly safe and will add good useable power to the already beastly LS7

Would you post a dyno graph like that but with the AFR too?

If you want to get the most bang for your buck with your Predator, contact Lew at diablewtune.com. You log data with your Predator, and he creates a custom tune for you based on that. I did it on my Z06, and loved the results. Will be getting a re-tune from him after head work, ported TB and intake , and adding headers this winter.

As a rule, at least in the past, we did not publish dyno charts with AFR, especially when they were new applications. Unfortunately I dont have one to share, but I can assure you, AFR is perfectly safe, we are not out to hurt anything

Thanks

I have been running the 93 octane diablo tune on my CAI 07Z06 since 2011 without a problem.
