Default new to this, should i tune?

hi all. i've been reading some of the threads here and this stuff is way over my head. i recently purchased my first vette, an '05 z51 which was completely stock. only thing i've done to it is add a corsa sport exhaust. the car is in great shape and runs well with 43k miles on it. the only other performance mods i might do in the future would be headers and CAI (unless i hit the powerball, then all bets are off), but that's likely to be a couple years down the road. so my question might seem stupid to most of the folks here but, what exactly (if anything) should i or could i expect from getting the car tuned? what kind of tune should i get? or any other advice you guys can offer? this isn't simply just my first corvette but the first high-performance car i've ever had and i guess i'm still getting acclimated to driving it, but now that i've had a taste i'd like even more. thanks in advance for any help offered...

Is car an auto or a stick? If auto, then yes it is worth a tune and throttle booster. If a stick, wait till you mod more.

Ditto the post above. If you go with headers and CAI I would suggest getting East Coast Supercharger (ECS) tune. There are numerous post on forum and good company to deal with.

You can pull your PCM and mail to them.

Even a stock setup can gain 10-15hp from a good performance tune and worth the $150. Put your CAI and headers on and get a mail order tune and pick up 40hp. Just stay away from the local garages that say they can performance tune and go with someone who knows, ECS is one of them

Dyno tune the car. Best $350 you will spend on it.

Guys , it's a stock LS 2 with an A4 , if it's an auto , tuning a stock LS 2 is not going to gain much if anything , let alone doing a trans tune in the A4

Drive it enjoy it , it's plenty fast the way it sits

There are improvements to be made with a tune, especially if it is an automatic. But drive it for awhile and any tuning/modifications you make will be more noticeable.

I had a stock 2006 A6 C6 Coupe dyno tuned locally by Tampa Tuning - the only mod from stock was a MagnaFlow catback. The dyno sheets showed approx. 320 rwp before the tune and nearly 360 hp after the tune. Shifts were more aggressive (by choice) and the entire car seemed to come alive. This tune required the use of 93 or higher octane fuel , but it felt like a totally different car (my wife said it turned into a "beast")
