Default Dyno and Tune

I recently had a battery issue and believe my tune has been lost.

Is there anybody left in Southern California that still uses a dyno and HP software to do custom tuning?

Many thanks.

What causes you to think your tune has been lost? Just a dead battery will not do it.

Unless it was reflashed then you didn't lose anything.

No reason it should be lost, but take it to Ryne@CMS if you need a tune. Only place in Socal I would let touch a car.

You will never lose your tune for any reason-----HOWEVER any time your battery voltage goes low or the battery is dead---you lose all the "learning" that your ECM has done to correct the P/T fueling to achieve the Stoich AFR of 14.68
This learning process typically takes 50-75 miles of normal driving to finish---The more modded your engine is the longer it takes
PS A car that has minor bolt on mods like a CAI and cat back exh will add airflow--At P/T ts is no big deal however at WOT the added fuel trims from your mods will also be added to your WOT fueling as a lean saftety---Not un common even with a CAI to have your fuel trims add 15% more fuel at P/T to achieve the 14.68 AFR BUT this % is also added to your WOT fueling as well as a built in lean safety---This will make your engine pig rich an lazy at WOT-----Eventually like I mentioned this added fuel will "learn out" and your fuel trims will settle on "0" at P/T and at WOT there won't be any additional fuel added that made it rich and lazy----Tuning will immediately correct the fuel trims so there is no driving for 50-75 miles to allow the fuel trims yo learn on their own
