Default Confused about Tire Pressure Sensors

I had a set of C6 Zo6 wheels on my C5 with C5 pressure sensors, just moved them to my C6, went for a drive and the C6 is reading the C5 sensors????

I bet it's just giving you the old readings of the sensors on the wheels you took off. Mine did the same thing and then gave me the malfunction reading on the DIC after about 70 miles.

Drove all day pressure has now even changed and the car seems to still be reading the C5 sensors, anybody got any idea how this can happen??

dont believe it can, as I am having problems with two blown sensors on C6. The C5 were magnetic based and the C6 are frequency based. At least thats what the dealer proclaims, and a magnet does nothing on the C6.

I changed the wheels on my C6 at frist with no pressure sensors and it read the old pressures from more than a day till it went to zero and caused a bunch of problems including limited handling to .7 g's. It is not reading the C5's sensors.

I believe you just strange, I cannot get my C6 sensors out of old wheels for about a week or two when it finally wakes up and realizes I have wrong sensors what should I do to reset? I know on a C5 just not sure of process on C6

About 70 miles without shutting off the engine and you will get the warning.

Once I get it and I have not yet how can I keep it clear until I can get sensors changed out, looks like it may be a couple weeks before I can get them changed out

you need to get the Tire Pressure Tool (around 350.00) to reset them, or see the dealer. Unfortunately the magnet trick no longer works. Trust me, I have two blown front sensors and visited the dealer more than 3 times to TRY and reset. The wont replace them as on aftermarket rims, unless rim shop pulls repairs/replaces and then exchange. A nightmare !!

Are the C6 wheels in your garage? When you pull into your garage the car is reading the pressure in the wheels. The car does not know they are in a stack and not mounted.
